Thank you for a fabulous Open House!

Thanks very much to everyone who came out to the Open House on Saturday. I hope you all enjoyed your grilled local grass-fed hamburgers from Braeburn Farm, chips, cookies, drinks and entertainment by Mebanella, a division of Mebanesville. It was terrific to see so many people downtown and having a good time. We intend to keep that going. At least 165 new owners signed up on Saturday! The total as of yesterday was 1,105. We need 1,500 to begin renovation and 2,000 by the time the store is opened. The owners will make it happen, but investing in community investment notes is important also and will finance it. Please visit the Become an Investor page if you'd like more information on how you can invest in a note.

This video was filmed at the Open House and produced by Elon University student Linda Kurtz

For those owners that didn't get their owner t-shirt or tote before they ran out (kind of a good problem to have), they will be available at future events. If you've not received your owner card, it will be mailed to you in the next couple of weeks.

We are searching for images of the old A&P. If anyone has any, or knows where we can find them, please let us know. We also heard many stories from those that worked at A&P, or were dragged to A&P with their mother. We could like to include these stories, so please share those with us.

Thanks again for a wonderful day. We will hold an event at the market once a month until construction begins!

- Sharon Dent, CSM Board President
